I’ve known Curtis since he was a young boy, and later had the opportunity to work closely with him during my final term as mayor while he served as a freshman county councilmember. Together, we successfully secured state funding for USU Moab and collaborated on many shared priorities between the City of Moab and Grand County. I am confident Curtis will bring Moab City back to open and accountable government, while reducing waste and easing the financial burden on our citizens.
Dave Sakrison
Former Moab Mayor -
Curtis and I served together for four years on the GCC. During that time we collaborated on various county projects. Curtis brought many valued assets to the table including careful preparation, clear thinking, creative problem solving skills, and a willingness to work together. Curtis has what it takes to be an effective mayor for the city of Moab.
Jaylyn Hawks
Former Grand County Commission Chair -
I had the privilege of working with Curtis during his time on the County Commission while I served on City Council. Even though we didn’t always agree on everything, Curtis was always a respectful partner who listened, collaborated, and found common ground. During these divided times, we need someone who is not afraid to bridge gaps and rebuild relationships regardless of party lines. I know Curtis will bring that same commitment, respect, and dedication as Mayor.

Former Moab City Councilwoman -
Curtis has been a steady and dependable source of leadership for the Permanent Community Impact Board. His style as Board Chair is one that allows for multiple perspectives to be heard, while keeping the discussion focused and within the responsibilities and scope of the Board. He has worked hard to ensure transparency through open discussions about the Board's decision making process and the status of fund's balances. We've been lucky to have him chair the Board.

Being an effective Chairman of the Board requires communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the good work that can be done by the Permanent Community Impact Fund. Curtis Wells has been fearless in taking the helm as Chairman of the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board. He has achieved respect through his desire to communicate both professionally and personally and recognizes the efforts and importance of Board members and staff. He understands the value of different perspectives and has strategically navigated a variety of important issues and continues to inspire others to learn more, do more and become more.

Executive Fund Manager - Utah Community Impact Board -
As a CIB board member, I've witnessed firsthand how Chairman Wells leads with an insightful and collaborative approach to challenging issues, and shows his genuine care for the perspectives of each member of the board and the applicants we serve.
